Ziad El Chaar
Chairman
With over 20 years’ experience in real estate development and investment, and more than a decade of leadership in corporate governance, board affairs, and regulatory compliance, Ziad El Chaar is the Chief Executive Officer of Dar Global. He has held full management responsibility for revenue growth, profitability, and strategic execution, with a proven track record of achievement across global real estate platforms.
Prior to joining Dar Global, Ziad served as CEO – Ventures and Business Development at Emaar Properties PJSC, CEO of Dar Al Arkan Global Investments LLC, and Managing Director and Executive Director on the board of the publicly listed DAMAC Properties, where he focused on operational excellence, portfolio growth, and long-term strategic planning.
Ziad holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the American University of Beirut.
Abdullah Abdulrahman A Alshilash
Vice Chairman
Abdullah A. Al Shilash is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Alkhair Capital Saudi Arabia. He also serves as Chairman of Quora Finance, Vice Chairman of Wasalt Real Estate, and Board Member of Ledar Real Estate Investment.
Previously, Mr. Al Shilash served as Vice Chairman of Alkhair Capital Dubai and as a Board Member of Abdullah Alothaim Investment, contributing to strategic oversight and governance across diversified investment platforms.
Mr. Al Shilash has extensive experience across real estate investments, financial advisory, and capital markets, with a proven track record in structuring, managing, and advising on complex investment transactions and strategic initiatives.
He holds a master’s degree in applied Analytics Finance from Columbia University, New York City, and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.
Paul Frankfurt, CFA
Director
Over 25 years of investment banking, capital markets and real estate experience gained working at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, BNP Paribas and Deutsche Bank in London as a senior Managing Director. Strategic advisor to C-Level and Board with responsibility for building and leading several businesses and transactions. Proven track record with deal execution leadership for public, private companies, governments and private equity firms through a number of landmark and complex transactions across a range of industries.
At Dar Global, Paul is Head of investments and sits on the Investment Committee for the group.
Maurice Horan
Director
Maurice Horan is a senior banking and investment professional with extensive board-level and executive experience across the Gulf, the USA, and the British Isles. He previously served as Chairman of BFC Group Holding WLL and as a Director of BFC Bank Ltd, where he was also a member of the Audit Committee, including a period as Committee Chairman.
Earlier in his career, Maurice held senior leadership roles at Arab National Bank in Riyadh, including General Manager – Strategic Investments and General Manager of the Corporate Banking Group. His experience spans commercial banking, Islamic investment banking, corporate finance, corporate restructuring, and property finance.
Maurice holds a B.A. (Mod) in Economics and Finance from Trinity College Dublin and an MBA from the Smurfit School of Business at University College Dublin.
Fawaz Sous
Director
Fawaz Sous is a real estate executive with over a decade of experience driving sales strategy, market expansion, and large-scale residential and branded developments across regional and international markets. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of OCTA Properties L.L.C., a Dubai-based real estate platform providing developer representation, advisory, and investment solutions.
Prior to founding OCTA, Fawaz served as Head of Sales at Emaar Properties PJSC, where he led residential, hospitality, and commercial sales operations and delivered AED 40 billion in cumulative sales. He previously held the role of Senior Vice President – Sales at DAMAC Properties, overseeing multi-regional sales teams across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Lebanon, and the UK, and leading the majority of the company’s global sales activity during his tenure.
Fawaz has played a key role in the delivery of landmark branded developments and international sales campaigns, combining commercial execution with strong leadership of large, performance-driven teams.
Tony Hchaime
Chief Executive Officer
Tony Hchaime leads Dar Global Capital Partners with over 25 years of experience in asset management and investment banking. Before joining Dar Global, he was the founding CEO of ADIB Capital, where he launched institutional-grade investment strategies and built partnerships with leading global firms. His earlier roles include senior positions at The D. E. Shaw Group and Lehman Brothers, as well as co-founding Arabica Investments.
At Dar Global Capital Partners, Tony drives the firm’s strategy and the development of a differentiated, high-conviction investment platform grounded in institutional governance and global best practices.
Julien Romanet
Head of Real Estate
Julien Romanet leads the Real Estate Investments function at Dar Global Capital Partners, bringing over 20 years of experience in private equity real estate with a focus on cross-border investments between the Middle East and global markets.
He has led and executed over US$3 billion in closed transactions across multiple jurisdictions, with experience spanning conventional and Shariah-compliant investment structures. Julien holds dual Master’s degrees in Civil Engineering and International Strategy and has completed advanced executive programs at Harvard University and Harvard Business School.
Mohamad Bleik
Head of Investor Relations
Mohamad Bleik is an investment and capital markets executive with over 20 years of experience in institutional fundraising, investor relations, and strategic advisory across private equity, real estate, and global capital markets. He has built long-standing relationships with sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, family offices, and private banks across the GCC, Europe, and Asia.
Prior to joining Dar Global Capital Partners, Mohamad served as Director of Capital Markets at Majed Al Futtaim and held senior leadership roles at SilkRoute Group, Addmind Group, Al Hilal Bank, Bank of China, SHUAA Capital, Credit Suisse, and BNP Paribas. He holds an MBA in Portfolio Management from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from the Lebanese American University.
